Stage description:
Was not raked. They had proper flooring. They had enough backstage changing rooms for the dancers, but not enough space for parents and visitors to hang around all day for multiple days
Parents in dressing rooms:
No
Onstage warm-up:
She had a good experience backstage. They could also get to designed spaces in the audience room to watch other dancers
Other schedule comments:
My biggest critique is, they wanted to jam to many dances and too many categories in
just couple days, so we were several hours late with the schedule. The days of the finals we left the theatre after midnight. We are talking of young children. Organisation was very very poor. I am a dance mum but also a dance teacher. This happens when making money becomes more important then giving the dancers a good experience. We had to pay for every entrance in the audience room, we had to pay and were obliged to leave our jackets and personal bags at the entrance, we could not even take a small personal bag inside the audience room. There was no space to hang out, only a restaurant, so you had to consume to stay there. It is just a money making machine. Some categories were just a joke, in the neoclassical solo category there was a modern dance ( that won), a classical tutu varuation, some other lyrical dances, and just no sense at all. Not professional at all
