General Comments

Overall recommendation:

Definitely NotAbsolutely

Best aspect:

This is an extremely small program and SI dancers taught most days by artistic director Phyllis Papa. Private lessons available as well. Because program is so small individual corrections were given throughout class. Younger dancers had daily and extensive opportunities for pointe and pre-pointe as appropriate. Majority of attendees are from their year round program but my dancer did not feel like there was any favoritism and felt like she got a lot of attention.

Least liked about program:

no housing. offered 4 days a week.

Suggested changes to program:

longer, offered five days a week.

Culture of program:

extremely friendly and low pressure while still instilling high expectations for technique and the daily work

Other comments:

highly recommended for anyone seeking a low pressure high level environment with small classes. Particularly good for a first time summer intensive and younger dancers recently on pointe.
