General Comments

Overall recommendation

Definitely Not
3
Absolutely

Best aspect

  • An excellent balance of high quality training, networking opportunities, & full performance with a small supportive group
  • Supportive environment, small classes with a host of artistic directors and guest teachers

Least liked about program

  • It was excellent in every way.
  • nothing

Suggested changes to program

  • additional partnering opportunities

Culture of program

  • With only about 35 dancers, everyone gets to know each other well. The average age is 20, so the dancers are primarily HS seniors/college age and very focused. Dancers treat each other like peers not competitors.
  • Focused dancers who work hard and seek to be supportive of others as well. Everyone is there to grow and make connections. The performance opportunity varies every other year (classical ballet alternates with mixed rep). Dancers get to know each other well and have a "company" type experience thanks to all the components that are in place.

Other comments

  • The exposure to so many artistic directors and guest instructors is priceless. The program is small but truly a powerful opportunity to train, network and perform in a rigorous and inspirational setting. Ideally, 18+ is optimal.
  • A small gem of a program
