General Comments

Overall recommendation:

Definitely NotAbsolutely

Best aspect:

Teacher Xavier Zavala’s classes were her favorite and she felt like he was respectful to everyone but also made them work really hard.

Least liked about program:

There is a lot of favoritism because you can see the year round teachers and staff talking to the guest teachers about who their favorite students are. Then those are the students who get the most attention in class and also get the most rehearsal time for the showcase.

Suggested changes to program:

More classes, less rehearsal for the showcase

Culture of program:

There aren’t a lot of students from outside of the studio and the same favorites all year are also the summer favorites, so it doesn’t feel very different or special.

Other comments:

There is potential with good teachers, but it’s not very organized and the guest teachers should be left to teach through their own eyes, not influenced by the year round staff. The showcase is also really overdone and takes valuable class time.
