We get to learn about nutrition, and costume care. We even got the chance to choreograph a short piece in our contemporary class.
I didn't like how technique class was only 1 hour and 15 minutes. Although there were pointe classes, these classes were used to prepare for variations. Also, it is quite pricey for 2 weeks without housing included. There wasn't enough time for us to prepare for the variations we would like to showcase since we were learning 4 variations in 2 weeks.
There were too many hair and makeup classes. There were 8 of them in total but they were all on the same thing (same hairstyle and general stage makeup), would be nice if we didn't have to sit through the same content or did something else. Although contemporary class was offered, only one was an actual contemporary class, the rest were learning from dance videos and choreographing, wished there were more contemporary classes.
On some days, we had to do class with students from other levels. Most students are from the year-round programs. We did have an outing to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for a sharing with a Chinese Dance troupe. Housing is a bit hard to find if you're not from the area.
