Technique class everyday with the Wozniaks ans guest teachers and learning so much in the other classes like character, flamenco, and contemporary.
Love the focus on traditional, classical Vaganova technique. Being coached by the Wozniaks and guest teachers.
Least liked about program
Too many different guest teachers - would like them longer than 1 week- it wasn’t enough for the teachers to get to know the kids and dig deep into their technique.
More technique class like jumps and turns. Class size was too big. Communication could be better

Most year-round students from MBA attend the SI. The teachers favor their students. The year-round students don't interact much with the SI students.
Some of the girl teachers were extremely strict and mean when it comes to correcting you, especially when it comes to the show rehearsals. I got told I did very bad, needed to be hidden behind people, and then taken out of a dance as almost punishment because I missed that class due to being sick (weeks before show)

The mba year long students are friendly and sweet, but definitely clique and don't hang out or talk to outsiders much. The teachers are super nice and care about you. I made many good friends I will definitely miss from outside students and mba girls.
Environment is safe and friendly. Coaches goal was for everyone to focus and improve their technique.
Other comments
The more advanced dancer program is much stronger and more beneficial than the lower 2 levels.
The Saturday classes were workshops and privates lessons. They cost extra but were very good.
Besides trying to meet the standards and the harshness of rehearsal I loved my time there and can't wait to go back.
The 6 week intensive gives you the best experience but they are flexible if you chose to attend 3,4, or 5 weeks. There is also an end of Summer show that family and friends get to attend. They usually pick a ballet to learn throughout the intensive. This year was Sleeping Beauty.
