Housing comment

  • Very long walk from meals and classes
  • Spacious private room (but no a/c), 8-min. walk to Albert College private school main campus building for breakfast and dinner; 20-min. walk to QBSC for classes (lunch catered by Albert College and served at QBSC); fantastic food - plentiful, lots of selection, salad bar always available at lunch and dinner, fresh baked goods, amazing brunch on Sat. & Sun.

General Comments

Overall recommendation

Definitely Not

1
Absolutely

Best aspect

  • Good first program
  • small class size; balanced, varied schedule; enjoyed learning other styles (esp. Flamenco) - learned more about elements of choreo and performance, challenged to learn choreo quickly, experimented with choice in contemp - dancer felt that each style contributed to improving in ballet

Least liked about program

  • Not challenging, hip hop, no conditioning or stretching
  • no a/c in dorms; no pointe some days

Suggested changes to program

  • Friendlier administration, more ballet
  • wishes QBSC and Albert College were closer together

Culture of program

  • Too
  • Positive, supportive, kind, close family feel

Other comments

  • A good choice for a first intensive
  • Wonderful experience! Would feel very confident sending a younger dancer. Highly recommend.
