Best aspect

  • Getting to work with guest teachers in jazz and contemporary!
  • Opportunity to learn with great guest contemporary and modern instructors

Least liked about program

  • The artistic director, who centered classes around social media content and often took the joy out of ballet.
  • Artistic director spent much of the time during final presentation focused on getting images for social media content

Suggested changes to program

  • Not having the artistic director teach class.
  • Spend less time on photos/social media, and more time on development all dancers

Culture of program

  • toxic, unenjoyable
  • Good training and serious but disorganized

Other comments

  • The guest teachers were wonderful, but the year round were not. I definitely found myself dreading ballet everyday.
