Perfomance Opportunities:

Director chose students to participate in performances. No auditions. Dancers which parents had good standing with the director got more opportunities. Rehearsals usually took place during academic school classes, forcing dancers to miss a lot of schoolwork and often go into rehearsal with no warmup time beforehand. No additional support provided.
