# Of Levels In School:

There are not specific levels. PPC is a small professional coaching studio that typically has six or fewer students each year. You stay for as many years as you would like for pre-pro level training to prepare for a professional career in ballet. The ages typically are from 12-19, but there are exceptions for younger/older.

Curriculum Comments:

1.5 to 2 hour technique class daily, one hour pointe/rep daily, one hour character each week, Some days there is floor barre included before the technique class, and some days there is a stretching class at the end of the day. There is partnering once a week with professional level men that are brought in which is really nice because they already know how to partner and aren't 'learning' at the same time as you. The schedule can be fluid depending on what is being worked on weekly. The attention to detail is unmatched due to the small number of students. Everyone is primarily receiving semi-private classes taught by a former Russian principal dancer with a 30-year professional career.

Overall Comments

Program's Best Aspect:

Having the opportunity to work with this Coach has been very rewarding. I have attended bigger schools with many students and enjoyed multiple aspects of that as well, but there really is no comparison to having such a close one-on-one mentorship/coaching five days a week in all classes/rehearsals. I don't feel like I'm just 'another dancer' in the studio. My weaknesses are addressed daily and I have the opportunity to have significant growth each year.

Program's Worst Aspect:

Having to seek out other performance opportunities at local ballet companies outside of competitions. There are several in the area that hold auditions for The Nutcracker. I also attend separate contemporary classes outside of this coaching program.

What Changes Would Be Helpful?

I honestly don't think I would change anything as that would compromise the level of personalized daily coaching that each dancer receives here. This type of training is very difficult to attain in a larger ballet school because there are too many students and not enough time in the day.

Anything Else We Should Know?

If you are looking to polish your training in every level/detail and want to receive every dollar's worth of learning/training to become a professional, then this would be the place to train at.
