We followed the abt curriculum without any exams or anything. MWSat we would have ballet followed by rehearsal, jazz, contemporary, or tap. On tuesday, sometimes monday, and friday we would have pointe followed by rehearsal, jazz, contemporary, or tap.

Perfomance Opportunities:

We had two winter shows, nutcracker with state street ballet that only levels 1 and up could do and another winter show “Rudolph” that included the entire school and had the younger kids ballet, all non-ballet classes, and levels 4 and up ballet dances and solos. In the spring we had an emerging choreographers showcase, a levels 4 and up shows, and the spring recital with everyone, and all classes.

Everyone has a chance to audtion once you are in 4A for ssbyd (State state ballet young dancers) its full of kids 12 to 18 and almost everyone in the school who is eligible is in it, but it isnt really a bridge level.

The lack of technique classes, and studios.

What Changes Would Be Helpful?

Have more studios so that the older dancers can have more classes.

Anything Else We Should Know?

If you want to be happy and supported, this is the studio for you however kf you aspire to be a professional, I wouldn’t recommend it past 14.
